Have questions?

What are these lenses actually designed for?

Bright outdoor conditions; beach, sport, hiking, festivals, city days in strong sun. Any situation where you're outside and the sun is doing the most.

The Category 2 rating and 28% transmittance are optimised for high-UV, high-glare Australian conditions. The gradient design handles direct overhead sun at the top while keeping your mid and low field of vision natural.

Not suitable for: driving, night use, twilight, or heavy overcast days where the tint would make everything unnecessarily dark.

How much UV does theses lens actually block?

Almost everything. UVB rays (280–315nm) are blocked 100%. UVA rays (315–380nm) are blocked 99.98%, that's 0.02% getting through, which is essentially nothing.

UV rays are the ones that cause real long-term damage: cataracts, macular degeneration, and tissue damage on the eye surface. On this front, the lens performs at the highest possible level.

This is the metric that matters most for eye health and it passes with flying colours.

Can I wear these while driving?

No. These lenses are not certified for road use under any of the three standards tested ANSI Z80.3, EN ISO 12312-1, or AS/NZS 1067.

The reason is primarily colour recognition. The lens transmits very little green light, which affects how traffic signals and road markings appear. For safe driving, a lens must pass strict colour discrimination requirements and this one does not.

This doesn't affect their performance as outdoor lifestyle sunglasses. But for legal and safety reasons, they must not be worn while driving or operating machinery.

What are the Benefits of Sunglasses for Eye Health?

Sunglasses are not just a stylish accessory; they play a crucial role in safeguarding your eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays that can lead to long-term damage. Whether you're spending the day outdoors, driving, or simply running errands, sunglasses provide vital protection against glare, dryness, and the risks of prolonged sun exposure.

Why gradients lens are good?

Gradient lenses are darker at the top and gradually lighten toward the bottom. They provide protection from overhead sunlight while allowing you to see objects below clearly. These lenses are especially useful for driving or outdoor activities, where they reduce glare from the sun above and ensure better visibility.
